Everyone loves the excitement of starting something new. The thrill of a new hobby, book, job, adventure, or relationship gives you something to look forward to. It gives you a clear purpose and creates great subjects to converse about. But what happens when the shine starts to wear off? What happens when you hit a slow chapter in a book? When you realize your new job is still a job? What happens when you don’t get the results you were hoping for with your new workouts? Well, most people quit. What’s the difference between the people who push through the wall and the quitters? GOALS! If you want to succeed at anything— working out, business, or life in general — you have to set goals to always work toward I like to start by setting a SMART goal.
Creating SMART goals
To make sure your goals are clear and reachable, each one should be:- Specific (sensible, significant).
- Measurable (meaningful, motivating).
- Achievable (agreed, attainable).
- Relevant (reasonable, results-based).
- Time-bound (time-limited, time/cost limited).
